Dimensions of Health

Health is something that can greatly affect a person’s entire life. When you are healthy, you are able to focus on other things in your life such as work, school, family, and fun. When you are unhealthy, many of these important aspects are impacted by your inability to function at full capacity.

When most people think of health, they only consider their physical health (eating right, exercising, staying away from drugs, having good hygiene etc.), but the reality is there are so many other dimensions that contribute to our overall health. In addition to physical health, social health, spiritual health, emotional health, intellectual health, occupational health and environmental health can influence our lives and wellbeing.

My goal is to be as healthy in all aspects as possible. I know that I am not perfect, as I am a human and make mistakes, but I am working on making a conscious effort, everyday to become a more well-rounded “health nut”. I encourage all of my family, friends, students, and acquaintances to join me on this journey. Keep in mind that each day brings new opportunities, and that overtime with patience and persistence you can reach your goals.
